Crooked Trails Silver is a women-owned, hand-made jewelry brand based in Salt Lake City. Rooted in craftsmanship and inspired by western landscapes, each piece of jewelry is carefully forged by hand. The goal of our shoot was to create an updated visual identity that strengthening her brand's online presence.
Honoring Craft Through Imagery
Handmade jewelry is a slow, time-intensive, thoughtful process. Stones are carefully picked, and designs are carefully tailored to the unique characteristics of each stone. These pieces deserved to be photographed thoughtfully and intentionally that highlights detail, depth, and context. We focused on creating imagery that reflected the core values of the brand- handmade and accessible. We curated a shot list that highlighted:
Natural light to highlight organic textures throughout the fabrication process
Close-up detail shots that emphasize craftsmanship and the handmade process
Brand portraits that humanize the maker and celebrate women-owned entrepreneurship
The goal was to showcase the tactile beauty of handmade silver jewelry while keeping the imagery approachable - pieces designed to be lived in, layered, and worn daily. This shoot was planned with Crooked Trail's Silver's website flow, brand positioning, and customer journey in mind. We created a visual library that supports:
Website hero imagery
E-commerce product listings
Social media storytelling
Press and editorial opportunities
The result is a cohesive, narrative-driven collection that strengthens brand identity without losing the warmth and accessibility that define the brand.
